You know how some questions & conversations feel like a hug?
“How can I tangibly love you well today?”
“I saw the way you were so patient with your toddler today — you’re a really good mom!”
“What latte can I bring you today as a little boost?”
Those types of questions & conversations. They feel like wide open arms & a comforting embrace.
It’s easy to experience less & less of that connected feeling in our marriages as the holiday season & the busyness it entails starts to roll around. Let’s be honest, holidays aside, it can be just as hard to find that connection on a random day in June.
My husband & I have been “checking in” with these questions each night for the last few years & they feel like a coming home to each other each time we go through them. They are simple & it can take as little as 5 minutes or as many as 25 minutes, and each time we feel more connected & on the same team by the end of them.
Needing a way to intentionally & routinely connect in your marriage right now? Try going through these questions together each night before bed!
Oh wow!! Screenshot this one!
What a great way to connect! I think I’ll try it now and get off my phone! My husband just got home and left at 730 this morning…it’s 940pm..
thx!!!
