There is a lot of “cozying” up the inside of our home when Autumn rolls in. I have always held back on the outside though. I think because I have this impression that it will cost too much? Who knows. However, this year I decided to go for it. We just got home from the beach, and I came back ready for the crisp weather, soup, and all things Fall.
I took myself to the store with a $50 budget, and I’ll show you what I came up with!
I wanted a mixture of pumpkins and mums, and I ended up throwing in a few cornstalks because I liked how they added height! I did already have a red mum that my son helped me plant last week, so I worked around that! All pumpkins are (adorably) different, so I think the key is finding ones that are all a little unique. I like varying heights, so I tried to find a big ole guy, some teeny ones, and some in the middle. I also tried balancing the colors so it wasn’t all one color!
Here is the breakdown:
Home Depot:
Pie Pumpkin – $9.96
Baby White Pumpkins – $12.98
Cornstalks – $11.98
White Mum – $6.98
Costco:
Big Orange Pumpkin: $6.99
Total – $48.89!
I managed to come in just under the budget I set! I will add…I am sure you can find varying prices by looking at other places. However, I was within the time crunch of my kiddos nap time, so I decided to grab it all mostly at Home Depot!
When setting it all up, I tried to work from the top down. If you make sure you have some height, you balance the colors, and include some texture in the cornstalks and mums, you can’t really go wrong!
